Robert Stein [Mudgee NSW], Half Dry Riesling 2017 2016

Please ignore the 2016 vintage tag, as this site does not yet have a 2017 option.
The conservative label has instant eye appeal.
Still shy on the nose, this beautifully crafted Riesling in the "halb trocken" style by Jacob Stein is a classy example of the genre.
Alsace winemaking technique merges with Australian fruit generosity to deliver a floral palate & refreshing mouth tingling natural acid profile.
It's well integrated and already shows signs of complexity as well as a promise of cellaring reward.
The 10g/l of residual sugar combined with a lowish 11% Alc entices to yet another glass.
A good match to a lunch of freshly shucked oysters and a lightly dressed green salad.
Price: $35
Wine Category: Riesling
