Thistledown, Suilven Single Vineyard 2018

The heavy set bottle and wax / cork seal scream of intent, but judging a book is not a wise path in the world of wine.

Happily - this reeks of quality on first swirl of the glass - lemon essence; wild honey; fresh figs - oak adds spice, rather than toast.

A soft salinity and minerality to the palate - acidity screams of a cool site - caramel oak is lurking.  It's beautifully positioned to evolve and blossom.
White stone fruits are latent and will emerge with time.
It's understated and ultra-classy.

Worth every cent.
